Second riverwalk

A couple of weeks ago, I suggested to Kevin that we walk the new section of the Salinas riverwalk. We both had Memorial Day off, so we made a date. We parked in the Walmart parking lot and walked under the Niblick bridge and all the way to the 13th street bridge and back to Walmart for our shopping. It's a nice walk! It took us about 55 minutes.

Memorial Day 2013

A couple of years ago, Kyra suggested we go to Los Osos Valley Memorial Park to see mom and dad's gravesite. I had the day off (Kevin, too) and decided to go to Los Osos yesterday. I thought it would be good to meet there just before lunch. I cut some flowers at home and ties them into a posy.

We arrived there after the program and we saw a helicopter and fire truck. I thought Winslow would be really excited to see a helicopter up close and actually sit in the pilot's seat but he wasn't that impressed. He couldn't stop talking about the fire truck!

Born May 1, 2013 at 5:18am weighing in at 8 lbs and 21 inches long and a nice head of black hair!

A whale!

Kyra and brad were visiting the day of the academy awards show and before it started we went outside. Brad wanted Biggie to have a ride on Grizz's motorcycle. Well, Grizz couldn't start his motorcycle. When we were walking back to the house, Biggie said "a whale!" pointing to our propane tank.

Driving topless

This is how we roll, on the Central Coast. It seemed like a good idea when I suggested it on Sunday. It was warm and beautiful in Paso when we got ready to drive to San Luis. But the further we drove, the colder I got. So glad to arrive and warm up again. Needless to say, we put the top up for the drive home.

Daffodils, again!

When I went outside this morning, there were my daffodils, spreading sunshine for all the world to see.
