Valentine's Day--2014

Imagine my surprise when I found these in our kitchen two days before Valentine's Day! I ran to give Kevin another kiss and a hug, telling him I was just telling a co-worker earlier that day how much I wanted red roses for Valentine's Day! Thank you, Kevin!

Throwback Thursday...

Oops! Its Wednesday, you say? I couldn't wait for Thursday to post this picture. I was the originator of the duck face! I've been storing this photo in my dresser drawer for years! Eric, me and dad are standing. Mom is sitting in the chair in front of Dad. John is sitting far left with the cute bow tie. The lady looking up and to the left is Della Walton. She was our Bishop's wife when we lived in San Jose, so I think this picture was taken in San Jose. And last but not least, that's Steve with the grimace. I'm trying to figure out when this was taken--probably about 1963. I look about 10?

37 years

Last night we celebrated our anniversary at il cortile, an Italian restaurant in downtown Paso Robles. I had this heavenly Chilean sea bass and Kevin ordered osso bucco. For dessert we got the pans cotta. Look how cute they did up our dessert. By the way, best service ever!

New car (for us)

Kevin noticed our neighbor had a white hard-top Miata in his yard one day last month and went to ask him about buying the hard-top for our Miata and Burt, our neighbor told Kevin he was selling it. After a couple of test

drives and some discussion, we bought the car, not just the hard top. Over the weekend, we sold our silver Miata, after driving more than 12 years!

Second riverwalk

A couple of weeks ago, I suggested to Kevin that we walk the new section of the Salinas riverwalk. We both had Memorial Day off, so we made a date. We parked in the Walmart parking lot and walked under the Niblick bridge and all the way to the 13th street bridge and back to Walmart for our shopping. It's a nice walk! It took us about 55 minutes.
