Yes, we are still having Out-to-Lunch Bunch once a month. Pictured here left to right: Lillie, Kathleen, Ruth and Peggy. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers at Bella Notte, a new restaurant located near Food4Less. I chose the bruschetta fresca and stuffed mushrooms. It was so delicious!

Lillie chose her favorite (she'd been there before) calamari and mozzarella patties.
Ruth and Peggy ordered Eggplant Parmesan.

Breakfast

No one should have to go to work hungry. That's what I thought to myself the other day. I was awake pretty early so I thought I would make dad an omelet. I finally discovered the secret to a perfect omelet! Make sure the pan is oiled. I just put a dab of butter in the pan and when it was melted wiped it around with a paper towel. Look how beautiful! Too bad I didn't have any parsley.

One for Kyra

Brianna Griffith

Brianna Griffith returned home from her mission in February. The next Sunday she gave her mission report in our ward. I really enjoyed hearing about her mission, especially the story about the silversmith. "How does the smith know when the silver is just right? When he can see himself in it." That's the "refiner's fire" we all have to go through mentioned in the scriptures. I'll get the story from Brianna. How many people do you recognize?

Working with Dad

On the 1st of January, Dad woke Cody up to help him with the pavers. Since it was January, Cody dressed what he thought was appropriate--long-sleeved waffle-weave shirt with jacket and long pants. After about 5 minutes, he came back in the house to change. Cody was very cooperative and helpful, always willing to do whatever we asked him to do. Love you, Toad.

And then Hurricane Cody hit

The day after Christmas, Cody started eating our gingerbread house and this is what is looked like by the 27th. Kevin dubbed it "Hurricane Cody".

Ha!

You'll be sorry now. I finally figured out how to add pictures to my blog! All by myself. Aren't you proud of me? Now I can post some you haven't seen yet, like this one of Cody with our masterpiece.

Morro Bay

I think I win the prize for late blogging. One day in February that I had off, I picked up Kevin after work and we headed to Morro Bay to eat fish and chips (Giovanni's!!!). After we were done eating (had clam chowder, Kevin had his usual fish and chips), we wandered around and then scurried to take pictures of the sunset. It was really pretty that day. That's what I like about Morro Bay in the winter.

night at the movies

One day last week I ran into Brian and Lorilee Kerr buying DVD's at Walmart. So we were talking about them and they said something about "Dan in Real Life" and how good it was. They invited Dad and me to go to their house to see it. Just as we were leaving on Monday, Candy from work called dad and told him she was having problems so he got on his computer to see if he could help her remotely. Didn't work so we drove over there and got her started. We went over to the Kerr's and started watching the movie. When it was about 3/4 over Candy called again and so dad got on his computer again and went into the other room while we finished watching the movie. I really enjoyed it! We ended up going back to work and staying there til after midnight and I fell asleep on the sofa in Candy's office. Very comfy!
