Lunch at Kai Lana

Kevin is working in Atascadero today and suggested lunch together. I wanted sushi and found a new place we've never been to, Kai Lana. They brought us cucumber slices in sauce and this is Kevin eating cucumbers. I had to take a picture, otherwise you'd never believe he ate it!

Reading!

Grizz is reading to Biggie. He loves to have books read to him! that's not just any book--its "Chicken Little"!

Driving home from Kyra and Brad's house Sunday night, this is what the sky looked like--

After dinner, Kyra noticed that no one was on their phones! Kevin is reading the third in the Hunger Games trilogy, Kyra and Brad are reading a fantasy series. Biggie went to bed and I got out my knitting.

Rain?!

I woke up to wet pavers the other morning. On the way home from work the night before it was very cloudy and dark and my thought was "I wonder when it's going to rain". Well, it rained while I was sleeping.

Swim lessons!

Kyra invited me to go along with them for Biggie's swim lessons. He loves the water!

Lunch

Our last meal in Monterey before going our separate ways was at The Fishwife. I finally decided on this barramundi dish. Oh. My. Gosh. So delicious!

We had a recommendation to eat at the Fishwife restaurant in Monterey. We all agreed it sounded good. While we were waiting for our table, Danny picked up Biggie and was trying to distract him ( he was hungry too!).

Bedtime

every time i'm at kyra and brad's when its time for biggie to go to bed, i have the privilege of putting him to bed. the routine is, bath, brush teeth, get him dressed, read stories, say a prayer and sing songs. kevin took this picture at storytime one night. biggie loves this routine (except for brushing his teeth)

Biggie ate mostly French fries when we stopped for lunch at Bubba Gump's.

Bubba Gump's

We went to Monterey on Thursday to meet up with Danny and Jenny. After spending some time in the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Friday, we walked over to Bubba Gump's to meet Brad, Kyra and Biggie for a meal. We waited outside for awhile and when they called our name, we thought we would be seated at our table. But no, we stood in line some more! The food was good but the wait made it so not worth it!

We took a break at the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday. I don't know why everyone was so tired. It was only about noon. Being on vacation can be so tiring!
