I actually took this one! We got together with Kevin's family for Christmas one year at Uncle Jack's in Escondido. Now I'm going to name everyone----I hope.

then I say

Family Night!

I admit it--I'm a thief. I stole this picture from Kyra's blog on tumblr.

I decided last week, we needed to have a family dinner last night to celebrate my first harvest of zucchini. (I'm already regretting that I planted two packages of seeds!) We had homemade macaroni and cheese, green salad with lettuce from my garden, zucchini and of course the requisite brownies! After we ate outside on the patio, (it was just too hot inside after having the oven on for half an hour) we got out The Game and commenced play, Oldsters (Kevin and I) against The Youngsters (Brad, Kyra, Cody, Julia and Sean). We whomped on them the first game--a Trivial Pursuit record-25 minutes!! We played the speed round where you get a pie piece for every correct answer. Then the youngsters proceeded to take us down. We played best out of 3 wins and they won the next two games. It didn't help that Kevin was busy trying to set up his tumblr account. What a fun night!
