Quality time

When we went to visit Kyra and Brad Sunday night, Grizz picked up Biggie and they sat like this until dinner was ready. So sweet! All Biggie wanted to do was push the start button.

Knocked for a loop

This pretty bird flew into our trailer just as I walked outside and couldn't fly away. Poor little birdie!

Biggie wants to go swimming

We were on the balcony over the water at The Dutchman, waiting for our table and Biggie reached his hand through the railing, pointing at the water. Grandma was very nervous!

R2D2---

When we stopped for gas on our way home (we drove the northern route through Reno because Kevin wanted to avoid the traffic jam on I-15 south of Las Vegas), we stopped for gas and there was R2D2! Biggie wouldn't stand still very long though.

Camping the "rough" way

A few weeks ago, when I checked my work schedule, I noted a Saturday off. I mentioned to Kevin that it would be fun to take our 5th wheel trailer out for an overnighter in Morro Bay. At first he was surprised, "you want to go camping?" and then understood when I said "in the trailer!" we made plans, got the trailer out, packed, and drove out to the Morro Strand State Park yesterday afternoon. As soon as we got settled, we let Kyra know we were in place and they could come over if they wanted to. They did and we met them at The Dutchman for dinner. The fish and chips were very good, better than Giovanni's! After dinner, we headed to Rite Aid for a scoop (or two) of Thrifty ice cream. Grizz and Biggie are taking a walk, looking at crossword puzzle books with dogs on the cover.

Corn and cantaloupe

Last week, we had the missionaries for dinner and as they were leaving they asked if there was anything they could do for us. I piped up with "you could help us plant our garden". We had just read in The Book of Mormon, Alma 32:26-33, about faith and how it is like planting a seed, starting little and then growing and swelling. So we made an appointment for this morning and with their help, planted 2 rows of cantaloupe seeds and 2 rows of corn!

Dinner at The Garden

Friday we spent the day in Provo, attending Daniel Prior's wedding. Only took pictures of the tulips at the temple. I wanted to have a family dinner on Saturday night but Danny and Jenny had plans to go to the last Jazz game that night so I contacted my sister and made a date to go to The Garden in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I ordered the Osso Bucco Ravioli and Kevin had the fettuccine. We ordered a fruit tart that was yummy (sorry! No picture). A delicious dinner and quality time with my sister and brother-in-law!

New colors

I painted my nails with this new color, Sheryl. The ring finger color is my first polish, Marisa. I like the pop of color on one finger.

Temple flowers

The main reason we took a trip to Utah was to attend the wedding of our son, Cody's friend, Daniel Prior. Here is a picture of the lovely tulips outside the Mount Timpanagos Temple in American Fork. It was a blessing and a privilege to be there in the temple wih Daniel and his lovely bride, Jamie. Thank you for inviting us!

Bouncy Rachel

While we were in Utah, Mandi invited us to watch Rachel in her gymnastics class. Rachel is in the middle, cartwheeling. Look for her in the 2020 Olympics!

Garden!

Yesterday, Kevin and I bought plants for our garden on my lunch break (after having a frozen yogurt at Yogurt Creations). Since I work this afternoon, I made the opportunity to set out my new plants. We have six new tomato plants, 2 jalapeño peppers and 2 petunias. I can hardly wait for home-grown tomatoes!

Monday, May 7th, was my birthday and after dining at McPhee's (they have THE best creme brulee), Kevin came home with this bouquet of flowers and a funny birthday card. These flowers smell so good!

After a trip....

Before and after, when we were driving to Utah last Wednesday, I had my eyes closed and heard this pitter patter on the windshield and thought it was starting to rain. When I opened my eyes, I saw it was bugs hitting the windshield! Lots of bugs. So since I have today off (I took it off because today is my birthday), one of the things on my to-do list is wash my car! Below you see the before and after.

Steak n Shake

We decided to eat at steak n shake for lunch on Wednesday as we drove through Las Vegas. They gave us this hat and Biggie kept taking it off. Pretty good food.
