I have the weirdest/funniest story to relate. One day at work, a man came up and asked me if I could page someone. I said "I can't". He said "yes you can. I know you can because my mother used to work here and she told me you can. She used to work at this register and she told me you can". He was almost ranting. Then, get this: He yelled (and there were people in my line) "Liar. You're a liar". He starts to leave, comes back and says "I'm going to report you. what's your name?" He looks at my badge and mutters to himself "kathleen" "You're a liar." he said it at least 3 times--maybe more, very loudly.
Wait--that's not the end of the story. The next day, one of the assistant managers, Sheri, comes up to me, puts her arm around my shoulders and said "What's this about a phone call I got about you?" I think I muttered under my breath "Gee I hope it wasn't from the guy who called me a liar!" Then she said "A customer called to tell me what a wonderful cashier you were!!!" It was this really nice lady who had about 50 coupons and kept telling me I was "superb". She asked me if my phone number was on the receipt. I was a little surprised by that and she clarified that by saying the store number. Then she said "I want to call and tell them how superb you are.!" Isn't that sweet? She was a very nice lady. What a day that was--I was called a liar and superb!

25!
Here's Kyra making her wish
Later after dinner, Kyra is knitting a baby afghan--Brad's playing a video game
Oh and by the way, we're all wearing pajamas!! lol
Oh and by the way, we're all wearing pajamas!! lol
Dad is "on" his computer and behind him you can see the glow of a fire in our wood-burning stove. I don't understand why Kyra and Brad have blankets on--with the fire roaring along, it got really warm in our little house.
When you read the title of this post, you should say it out loud, in an amazed voice. We celebrated Kyra's birthday yesterday because I worked on Saturday til 9:30. I baked a cake after church and when Kyra and Brad came in later, I told her about it -- that's when I decided to cook dinner. Also, Kyra chose cream cheese frosting for her cake and it was amazing! The cake was a butter recipe yellow cake mix and it was delicious! You should try one sometime.

Primm.... and Proper
On our way to Utah last month, we were getting close to Primm, Nevada so I asked Kevin if he wanted to stop there at the fashion outlet mall for lunch. About a minute later, he said "they should've named Jean "Proper".
We ate at a place called the Cagun Grill. We ordered a seafood plate to share and it was ok. The shrimp wasn't peeled, though.
I really appreciate Taco night at Danny's house because he very meticulously peels the shrimp. Yummy!

Outback!
On the Saturday before we headed home, we took Cody out to dinner at Outback in Provo. Cody ordered the Ahi appetizer--he had a very filling lunch earlier in the day.

Girl talk
While we were staying at Danny and Jenny's last month, Jenny had a friend over for a sleepover. They were going for a Breast Awareness Walk in Liberty Park the next morning. After I finished getting ready, I joined them in the bathroom to enjoy some girl time. Jenny is the one in the striped shirt and that's her friend, Makenna.

Soccer games
Saturday, October 10th, Kevin and I went to the school fields to watch Austin and Rachel play soccer. As usual, Rachel attached herself to Grandpa. Here you see her "before" hairdo.
Here's Rachel after Mandi fixed her hair. So cute!
Kevin and Mandi in deep discussion and a section of Mike's bald head. If you look close, you can see Rachel talking to her mom
Rachel and Grandpa again.

Mike is teasing Mitchel about having his hood on.
Austin going for the ball--he's in the red and black
Austin sitting on Mandi's lap and Mike talking to her.
This is Rachel's team. She's standing there with her hands on her hips.
The gang
Rachel--#6
The end.

NaBloPoMo
I made a mistake. My friend Susie is writing a 15,000 word novel in 30 days (NaNoWriMo). I thought it was national blogging month. I stand corrected. Thanks, Susie!

NaNoWriMo
My friend Susie, ramblingsofsusie.blogspot.com, reminded me on facebook about the NaNoWriMo. If you haven't heard of that, its posting a blog for every day of the month in November. So this is number one.
