strange

a very strange thing--i was walking to the mailbox (got to get my exercise somehow!) and when i came to the northeast corner of our property, i looked to the spot where we buried nori last year, and there, under one of the bushes planted there, were a pair of women's shoes, a couple of shirts, men's boxer shorts and a ballcap???? it looked like they were just deposited there today--no sign of morning dew. what's up with that?

a "fashion blog"?

am i turning this into a fashion blog? just for a little while. i really want to share my favorite clothes with you. ok, so I finally retired my "work" shoes. i took this picture right before I threw them in the trash. the brown part on the right is the cupboard door. like my red toenails?

about a month ago i bought this blouse even though i knew i wouldn't be able to wear it to work until it cooled off, considerably. i finally wore it the other day (still too warm). bought it at walmart. there are other colors available. i'm thinking of buying a black one.....i really like the beads on the edge.

notice the earring? well, these are jade from mexico. when i stayed with mandi and mike's children last year while they went on a cruise to mexico, they brought home these beautiful earrings for me. (they knew my favorite color is green!) thank you, mike and mandi.

new pants!

Yesterday, a customer bought a pair of pants called "jeggings", so I decided that I wanted a pair, also. Here they are! What do you think? They are jeans but with spandex so they fit like leggings. I really like them!

another blouse!

this is another blouse Kyra helped me pick out last year. the nice thing is that I couldn't wear it all summer (too hot!) so its just like having a new blouse!

I've had this necklace for about 10 years. When I won a trip for 4 to Sea World, I went "pearl diving" and this is the pearl I got. I chose Shamu's whale tail pendant. Its hard to see it in this shot. One of my favorite necklaces!

These are the earrings I chose to go with the necklace. Kevin's grandmother gave them to me a long time ago--before Kyra was born. "Mimi" died when Kyra was about 6 months old.

this is my hair the day before getting it cut. It was so long that I had to curl it under! it just wouldn't stay flipped up.

last year kyra took me shopping and this is one of the blouses she picked out. I really love it! the neckling and the bodice are so cool. even though i bought it last year, i still love it!
