Who said it?
Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum
I smell the blood of an M & M
Be it alive or be it dead
I'll crush his peanut butter to make my bread

Danny's talent
One day, a very long time ago now, I asked Danny for a poem because I wanted to put it in the paper for "Love Lines" to Kevin. This is what he came up with:
i tried to run away one time
got caught up in your fishing line.
you lured me back to you somehow
and now i am your faithful sow.

New Years' Resolutions
I'm getting a jump on my resolutions for 2010. My resolution is to reach my ideal weight (I really don't know what that is) so I will be posting my measurements and weight here. I got the idea here http://bikiniby30.blogspot.com/
whew --- so here goes
weight--147
ribs--34"
waist--35 1/2"
hips--41 1/2"
thigh--21 3/8"
calf--14 1/4"
bicep--12 1/4"
There, I did it. I'm shaking just a little bit. Every month, I will post updates. And now for the really hard part--pictures! There won't be any pictures of me in a bikini since I don't own one and never will.

This is too funny...
Yesterday after work, I did some Christmas shopping and when I went through Katie's line (at Walmart) she asked me if my husband went to church with me. So after I stopped laughing, she wanted to know if he had a calling and then I whipped out my cell phone and camera to show her pictures of him. As she's looking at the picture, she starts nodding her head, saying, "Oh yes, I know who he is". :)

Danny's birthday!
I stole these shots from Danny and Jenny's blog dannyandjenny.blogspot.com I just couldn't resist. This picture is from the fiesta Jenny threw for Danny's birthday on Saturday.
I really like this one because Danny frequently makes this face.
I don't remember seeing this one in the anniversary selections but its so Danny.
Happy Birthday, Danny. I will be calling you at 1:23 this afternoon. I can't believe its been 31 years! It hardly seems more than a blink of an eye. I love you! You've grown up to be a wonderful man, through no fault of mine.

Christmas party for Walmart employees
I'll warn you now--there are lots of pictures so if you want to get to the two I have of Kevin and me, scroll to the end. Last night was our Walmart Christmas Party and chronicled here are all the attendees. From the left fellow cashier Kummie (don't ask me what she is doing. I must have caught her unaware); Terry, spouse of Dimitra, fellow cashier and neighbor. They live about 1/4 mile away, on Jardine road.
Greeter Connie and her husband, Ron. Ron's birthday is the same day as Kevin's and they were also married in 1976, just like Kevin and me.
Shabana and her husband (didn't get his name and if I did, I probably wouldn't be able to spell it). She is also a cashier and they are from Pakistan.
Kummie and Rosemary--also cashiers
I called them "The Three Musketeers"; Dimitra (Greek), Kummie (Korean) and Rosemary (Mexican). We are truly an international group.
Our store manager, Janis (in the middle) with her husband (sorry didn't get his name) and Anita one of the assistant managers. As you can see, on the plates are some kind of party favor. I don't know what they are called but you pull them apart and they pop. Inside is a toy, party hat and a paper with sayings or questions. Mine asked the question "What metal is the best conductor of electricity?" when I asked Kevin he replied "Gold". The answer on the paper was silver.
At this table are Amanda, daughter of Alice, who is a Customer Zone Manager, and Chet, who is another assistant manager.
Jeff Slane (sporting goods) brought his daughter and son.
Ginger is sharing the table with another co-worker (name?) -- I remembered when I was at work today that his name is Jonathan!
a better shot of unknown co-worker
Charlotte works in the Photo Department--she was playing coy with me--didn't want her picture taken.
Lorelei with her husband. I'm sure she told me his name but it eludes me at the moment. Lorelei works in the fitting room and she's the one you hear announcing over the intercom "Attention Walmart shoppers!"
Our cooks! The food was delicious! They cooked chicken, beef, beans, french bread, and served salad. We brought sides or desserts. I made rice pilaf (from scratch!) It was really good.

This little guy, Ethan, is the grandson of the toy department manager, Gladys, whose picture I didn't get! ooops! He was very entertaining. Gladys got him to dance to the music a couple of times. Very cute!
Marie, who is a greeter, brought her son, Joe, and we shared the table with them.
Pam and her husband, George, both co-workers. He's in TLE (Tire Lube Express) and I think she works in the Cash Office.
Robert is a greeter in the evenings. Its his second job.
Here's Alice (a support service manager) with her daughter, Amanda. They were both oblivious to my presence. It looks like they were busy opening their party favors.
Tabitha and unknown gentleman
Debbie (cashier) and her husband, Steve at our table.
Renee was a cashier but is not working while trying to get Workmen's Comp
Kendra (personnel office) with her three children.
Penny (with her husband?) used to be a cashier but now works in the cash office and is also an unloader. She was embarassed to take off her coat because she was wearing a dress when all the rest of us were very casually dressed.
Here's another one of Penny including her daughter (?)
I convinced Penny to take off her coat.
I had to take this shot or you would never have believed that Kevin wore the party "crown". He's busy playing with the yo-yo from the party favor someone gave him.
And finally the one you've been waiting for! Haha Rosemary talked me into singing a song so I sang "Silent Night" and some of my co-workers joined in. Then I sang "Jingle Bells".
Before they left I had to get a shot of Stephanie with her mother. Stephanie was very reluctant but I convinced her that I needed a picture of her.
This is the last one--As we left, Lissa, at the door (didn't get one of her. Sorry!) directed all the employees to Anita where she thanked us for our service this past year and offered a gift from the table behind her. Mine was a mug with cocoa mix, a chocolate mint candy, a cookie and a peppermint stick.
The food was good and the company was fun. Too bad more people didn't make it out.

Hair
I've been working on the self-portrait thing because I really wanted to post a funny story about my hair. I'll let you decide which is the best, if any. I was using the mirror in the bathroom so you could see the back of my hair. All the pictures except the last one are after I had my hair appointment--Robin says to say hi to Mandi, Danny, Kyra and Cody!
So this is the story--one day when I was working in the pharmacy, a customer came up and said to me "oh you've cut your hair." I replied that I had--just went to the beauty shop and asked my beautician for a new look and this is what she came up with, etc. Meanwhile, I'm thinking, 'I've never seen this woman before in my life.' Then she said she was having trouble with cataracts in her eyes. After she left, I mentioned to my co-worker that I had never seen that lady in my life. Ok, so maybe this isn't as funny in the telling--its a "had to be there" kind of thing.
